One of my students just got an S910. I went to show him how you could choose a style and press the repertoire button and it will show songs on the Music Finder that fit that particular style. I tried it several times and no songs showed up. Is this normal, an oversight, an OS issue or what??

Hi Scott,

Have you tried doing a factory reset?

I would try one other thing. Reload the MF file. It's possible that it was deleted or corrupted.

The MF is part of the OS. It's not hardware. So if the problem persists, I would update the OS and reload it.

It might be a defective keyboard on the other hand.

Scott, when you press Music Finder, does it show any files?

Scott,

First and foremost, the specific file must be used to create a music finder entry. If it's a third-party style and there is no MFD entry in place--nothing will show up. If the entry was created using the MFD, all of the MFD areas must be selected, Genre in particular. I just went through this with the owner of a T4 this past week. If you need me to walk you through the process over the phone, give me a call.

Thanks for the replys. I have done this on my T2 through the years with no issue. I'll take a look again during lessons this week. I did check to make sure there were songs in the MF before selecting a style as I know not all styles have a factory song selected.

I know I did a hard reset. It didn't change anything. This should have worked out of the box as it sits. Certainly a hard reset should have corrected any problem. If this doesn't correct it my thought was to reload the current OS.

Interesting have tried to download the OS and repeatedly only get a pdf.

Hmmm, after being logged into SynthZone today, it shows that I'm not logged in and I can't log back in. Something wrong at SZ or my computer.

Just closed and opened the browser and now i can log in. Not sure if that was the fix or not.
